January 10, 2025 - A Massage in My Apartment? Yes, Please!

My plans got rearranged this morning and it worked out very, very well.  No walk photos because I slept in and then decided to have coffee on the balcony instead of a walk.  While I was lazing, I got a message from my buddy, the best driver in Cartagena, Juan Carlos.

He and I had talked about massages and he'd promised to get me the name of a friend who does massages on the beach nearby.  After a bit of back and forth, we agreed that I'd meet the massage therapist, Juanita, in my lobby in five minutes.

Juanita checked in at the desk, which meant having her ID copied and her photo taken.  From now on, she'll be able to come to visit unescorted.   Since I had plans this morning, we agreed to a 30 minute foot and shoulder massage.  It was heaven!  And, $13.  On Monday, she'll be back for an hour.  $26, with no extra fee for coming to my apartment.  I thought I was relaxed before she arrived but after digging out the knots in my shoulders I was like a very happy noodle.

There was an issue with my grocery delivery today so I was forced to order food to be delivered by Rappi. Poor me, lol.  Yeah, it was pizza again.  But it was a small VEGGIE pizza, so I'm sure it was healthy.

Meanwhile, a few photos from a wonderful day.

I'm not sure if it's because it's a Friday or if there's a new crowd of visitors but the hot tub and pool were hopping, all day long.  I was concerned that the pool people would be noisy but I can't hear them at all in the apartment.  And on the balcony I enjoy the sounds of kids playing.

Did I mention I had an ocean view while getting a great massage?

On a completely different subject...I'd never seen a trash bin holder like this and I love it.  The bin is attached to the cabinet door so it swings out when the door opens, instead of having to reach inside.

If you look closely, there are people walking out on the breakwater.  I'd enjoy that but don't want a broken hip.

As if the day could get any better, at about 6:45, fireworks started.  In a different place than previous times and earlier.  But, at least 15 minutes of non-stop fireworks.  It's like living next to Disney World!
