Photos of Ushuaia, Argentina and Southern Chile

I'm not sure why I find the Beagle Channel so funny.  In Spanish it's the Canal Beagle.  This was a beer sign in Usuaia.

Beautiful roses in Ushuaia.

Pronounced Ooosh WHY Ah.  Try saying it after a couple of glasses of wine.  Fun party game!
On one side of the Beagle Channel is Ushuaia Argentina.  On the other is Chile.  This is the view from the Argentine side of the channel.

Beautiful views in the most southern part of South America.  BTW, this is their summer.

Ushuaia has about 150,000 people.  We drove through a poor neighborhood where folks have no electricity or running water.  That would be a hard life.

The tree line is very distinctive.

Wild flowers.  Tough little buggers.

This was a walking path that ended at the airport.  This guy was  miles from anywhere.

There were a lot of small parks for children.

And a lot of beautiful murals.
